Studying
So for the studying - I studied every day, for ~3 months, ~5 hours a day, mimicking test day.
**This doesn't mean I didn't have fun or hang out with friends - I'm just saying this test did change the way I lived and where my focus was; my life became much more structured and planned.**
I did utilize an online prep course that shall remain nameless, and I think it was worth every penny. Not just because of the practice tests/quizzes, diagnostics, etc., but also because of the flash cards and comprehensive study books they gave us too.
Wherever you may get your review books - KNOW THESE BACKWARDS AND FORWARDS. These contain all the information for the foundation of each of the science sections - knowing the information in these books will help you much more than taking a ton of practice tests. I saw a direct correlation between time spent in these books and my score going up. Plain and simple. I lived out of these books while studying for my MCAT - since I was a chemistry major, I spent more time studying Biology and Physics. I read through these study books, cover to cover, about 2-3 times each. I took my time with each page and truly tried to understand the information, not just say, "I know this."
If one gets into the habit of saying, "I know this," when they CANNOT recite what the page says VERBATIM - they don't know the information. This will only hurt come test day.
